During a Lucky Loser scenario a Replacement Opponent, or "Lucky Loser", is substituted into a match for the player who does not feel fit to compete. This can be common in the 1st and 2nd rounds of tournaments after qualifying rounds have been completed. In this scenario, the original player who did not withdraw will show as receiving zero points in live scoring during the match, but will receive all fantasy points accrued once the match is completed. The player who withdrew will not receive any fantasy points. The replacement opponent will not be available for selection.
For example, if Nadal is set to face Del Potro in the 1st Round, but Del Potro withdrew before the match began, the "Lucky Loser" would replace Del Potro as the new opponent. Nadal would receive the full points for the match, but his points would not update in live scoring until after the match had completed. Del Potro would receive 0 points for the match and the new "Lucky Loser" would not be available for selection, due to not being in the original player pool.
